I recently visited Gallowmere and recorded my time there. I'd very much appreciate any feedback from proper MediEvil fans:-)
Best wishes, Bobbety

Word has it, that some of my diction is a bit unclear...so I've now added bespoke subtitles:-)

Interesting concept, I have never seen a "Let's play" video like this, would be cool to see more.

Heh nice going, have you ever seen Top Hat Gaming Man? You remind me of a mix of him and Hamilton Kift /The Professor from Medievil 2. I also liked the reference to Blake's 7, I want to have a copy of Medievil signed by Paul Darrow someday

Thankyou all so much for taking the time to watch the video and saying such kind words about it:-) I completely understand your desire to get Paul Darrow's signature on Medievil, Garden Variety Zombie, as I'm a huge Blake's Seven fan myself. I once saw the series described beautifully as 'A Tragedy in Four Acts' It lent B7 an appropriately Shakespearean level of gravitas!
I haven't seen Top Hat man, but I'll take a look now.
I intend to do a video on MediEvil 2 in the near future. In the meantime, I'd love any feedback on the Yakuza 0 video which I've just posted, if anyone is interested in that series:)
Thanks again, guys! Bobbety

I'll check it out sure Also as a fun note, Top hat gaming man is a wrestler named Richard Parliament. Gotta have a gimmick nowadays on Youtube ;D I was never really interested in Shakespeare's stuff until I started listening to a band called 'Theatre of Tragedy', as a lot of their lyrics are in the same style so I ended up having to look up a fair few of the words.

I've taken a look and I like his stuff. I'll check out Theatre of Tragedy properly too:) I'm partial to a bit of metal - I'm going to see Iron Maiden later in the year!

Ha nice, and yeah it would be good to see someone else get into ToT They were the first band to do an entire album in that style. I didn't find them until decades later but must be my favourite band now along side Leaves' Eyes (same singer anyway). You'll find that most fans will tell you to mainly listen to the first two ToT albums, the third one is alright/decent but then they went all weird and did electronic pop music for about 3 albums, now they have a new singer anyhow. I do like some Iron Maiden stuff too! On topic somewhat, you should do a video for Medievil 2 if you don't already have one planned

I'll definitely take a listen to the first two albums:-)
And yes, I am planning a MediEvil 2 video in the not too distant future. I would like to record from later on in the game than in the first one, which means digging out my old memory cards. I know they're around somewhere!

That's an interesting way of doing videos! Do you play first while recording the footage and then write down the text and record the audio? If I may offer some suggestions, some soft music (with low volume) in the background would make things more lovely. I guess you're not using the game's music because of copyright issues? I noticed you use the game's sound, maybe increase it in volume a bit. Also, there's some moments of silence that appear longer than they should have and since there's no more sound except for your voice it really sounds weird. Your accent is delightful to hear and the text is good, just work on your deliveries for some of the jokes a bit Keep it up!

That latest 'Horace goes skiing' video, haha.
Reminds me a lot of Trevor Locke whenever he tells a story, I'll have to find the link to the correct episode to really demonstrate it though.

Hi Novyal - thankyou for the positive comments and very helpful suggestions - they're hugely appreciated:-)
The process is exactly as you describe it, with the writing and editing (of both text and footage) taking the longest, meaning I'm usually rushing a bit to record the voiceover (I give myself a very strict deadline, otherwise I'd fiddle with each video for ever;-)). I really need to give more time to this last aspect, though, doing so would hopefully iron out a few wrinkles!
How loud to have the game sound is always an issue for me. THere was a comment on the World of Spectrum forums about the volume being too high on my Sabre Wulf video, and I now might have gone too far the other way! I'll maybe go back up a notch or two:)
Hi Garden Variety Zombie. I'm really pleased you liked my 'Horace' video. I tried to do a midweek 'quickie' with that one, though it still took me about ten times longer to make than I thought it would;-) I'll have to check out Trevor Locke...maybe he's stealing my style;-)
I also need to say that the Medievil community is the joint friendliest I've encountered (along with World of Spectrum) on my odyssey so far. Thankyou for making me so welcome:-)

By the way, I think you misspelled Sir Dan's name in your subtitles "Fortescue" should be Fortesque (in the beginning). Could be a joke using your channel's name, but since there's "Sir Daniel" before Fortescue, it might have been a slight mistake If that's not the case, I'm sorry for being dumb
