After another long period of silence and work You have not seen yet how long I can work on my fangame This is something you can call "long period of time", haha. Anyway, some edges are too sharp in my opinion, but whole scene looks really good. I really can feel MediEvil spirit here. Can't wait to see it finished and animated. Keep up the good work!

Thank you, mortus I hate those edges too, especially the library. The books will be replaced with better models (those are only cubes), but I happy you like it so far. Cheers!

Greetings. I started working on the juicy part of the intro for the game: Zarok's animations. Here you can see a first and early part of the scene in which he reads his sorceries book, planning his assault to the Sleeping Village. Hope you will forgive the horrible video quality (this time, I had to record it quickly) and, as always, share your thoughts and criticisms. Cheers

I mean, it does looks good but it's hard to tell if the stuttering is the actual footage or because it's a screen being recorded (which sometimes does give footage a sort of jumpy effect sometimes).

Yeah it does look a bit choppy. Zarok looks, uh... terrifying, also.

Might be caused by the modeling software's preview mode - animations can seem laggy if they are not fully rendered/exported.

The framerate is a little bit affected by the recording device, I am afraid. As soon as I will have the whole animation I will record it in a proper quality.

We heard about a petition, launched by the amazing MediEvil community, to ask for a PS4 remaster of MediEvil and MediEvil II. We can just be happy about it, and we want to show you our happiness by showing our work on Dan's model from our humble fan remake. As always, opinions, advices and criticisms are very appreciated. Cheers!

It is a really nice looking model Well done! I can't see much wrong with it honestly to be able to critique.

Thank you, Garden Variety Zombie! Actually, we suspended the retopology on the model to improve some details.

Where is that petition? How did I not heard of it?

Not enough people signed it, and it's been going so long that the 'time/people signing it' ratio is way too low for it to work sadly.

Greetings, werck. Things are going on. We, as a team, have a main project to focus on, so we cannot work on Dead Man Dan eight ours a day, but we are keeping it up. Specifically, the first part of Zarok's animations in the game intro is ready and implemented, even if it still needs some adjustments on the camera side in Unity. For now, we also decided to stop the works on the cutscene side and seriously start working on the toy design: Dan's model is almost ready to be animated, while the animations are being developed on the prototype, and we are developing the code for the movement, the camera etc..

Greetings! Here we are with, at least, the torso piece of Dan's final armour! In the picture below, you can see the low poly version applied to the old prototype. Any feedback is appreciated, as always, and keep ready for other pieces. Cheers!

I like the small touches, like the grain on the armour He's only missing the neck vertebrae as far as I can tell. Surely the others can give out better feedback.

Thank you, kaori. Yeah, the neck is horrible, but it is fromt he original prototype, so you must blame only me and not the 3D artists :'D

Dan looks like he used to be chubby, or maybe just really muscular? I think a book in the Sleeping Village mentioned he was rather muscular.

Garden Variety Zomie, I don't remember that specific book, but it would be an amazing coincidence

Well, considering each knight had an armour built especially for them based on their size and measurements, I guess yes, Dan must have been rather muscular in life.
