Ha those are great so far, and yeah there are tons of little thing like fallen pillars and heads etc. I swear they spent more time designing the crypt more than any other level! I totally agree. The other day I was looking at the textures of the corridor which leads to Copper Shield and there are some genuinely amazing pieces of work, which of course will need to be remade.

Greetings. Works on Dan's Crypt are moving on, whith the structure almost done and the textures being painted. I know it is not a wonderful screenshot, but Blender is not famous for his wonderful model view, and I did not want to show you everything Cheers!

Surprisingly enough, the 'waviness' of the floor (and the roof) adds a lot to the scene! Following the original level design like this will really help the project, so keep up the good work!

Thank you The floor looks like it collapsed, in the original game, and that gave the waviness. I am willing to improve it with some tiles removed, and I will put something on that roof too. For the rest, that is a low poly made up from the high poly version (you can easily see it from the dirt pile in the corner): everything will hopefully be way better in engine, with lighting, decent materials and post processing and everything else.

Remaking the gorgeously detailed bas-relieves of Dan's Crypt. The pixelated 1998 version still looks wonderful, to me. Cheers!

Thanks to Unity's standard lights. In that screen all the lighting is missing. Aaaand well... the crypt is fully modeled, now it only needs some polishing from inside Unity, lights, some props to be placed. Some more animations and I am ready to salute the project

Wow! Is this real-time? The actual graphics of the game? Or a pre-rendered animation?

Yes, it is in realtime. No, it is not the actual graphics: I disabled some post processing goodies on the camera to keep them as a surprise

That is really impressive what you can achieve with minimal light, it does look really nice! Light coming through stained glass windows of different colours would look great too if this is anything to go by.

Light coming through stained glass windows of different colours would look great too if this is anything to go by. Yeah, that would be awesome, and it is quite possible. Just let me work on it for a couple of days (I have too much stuff to do with the main project of our team )

Greetings! Here is a small comparison of a corner of Dan's Crypt with and without post-processing. The magic of Unity in action (This is not shown on the socials yet: the post-processed look of the game is still secret)

Greetings. I have published a couple of new screenshots from Dan's Crypt. You can find them on the socials in a very raw version, with no lighting nor post processing, or you can take a look at the post processed ones right here

Well, someone says it could be related to the huge amount of nostalgic games which are coming out soon (Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Kingdom Hearts III itself and even The Last of Us Part II, if you consider the hype it built), so MediEvil could just have been posticipated to give it more mediatic space and attention and make it sell better. This said, yep, they were pretty silent about it.

You're right about giving it some room (given that they thought Medievil an important enough name for that t-shirt reveal thing), but you would think they would have said or shown something at their major event right?
