It's more likely (sadly), that they will have to admit the game has been cancelled for some reason or another.
I mean I know the announcement was a bit of a 'ooh shit it's E3 we better announce it now' jumping the gun moment, but having seen nothing so far? It does seem rather bizarre that we've not seen anything official or leaked all this time, given that you would have to assume they've been working on the game at least since after the initial announcement itself.
So after all this time, what could an announcement even be? 'oh, here is some really basic sketches or screenshots that we should have probably shown you six months ago to keep hope alive'?
After all, we will see if anything happens. On this occasion I would honestly LOVE to be proven wrong
I just think in a case that if it is not canceled the reason why sony is waiting is because they dont think MediEvil can compete with all this new titles comming out and specially with Spyro Remake comming out soon.
They are just waiting for the right moment I hope.
And another problem we have is that nobody of the big game journalists is not asking Sony or Shawn what is hapening with the game.

Just posting the link you posted as a viewable video
The background picture in Guacamelee 2 is cool, reminds me of the Zarok portrait in that game 'creatures'.
Though the assumption that, quote "It's in the official magazine so that confirms the game is being released" is a little odd, given that official magazines have talked about a lot of systems and games in the past that never came out in the end. I mean I wan it to come out more than anything, but I'm just trying to be realistic really.
It's not like all magazines can speak with the programmers of a game all the time sadly... some can actually even speculate on a subject, like "this or that might happen" but at the end is just theorizing or wishful thinking. One cannot be fully sure until some official source comes out.
Hi super , Shawn Layden (CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America) and Dave Thach (f1ssi0n) could be approached in my opinion. Dan's Friend shared twitter post by Dave Thach about 20th MediEvil anniversary, so twitter is also a way to communicate. Before we begin with the letter we can wait till 21st of October. Hopefully there will be some news or more details soon
