Question about the eagle's head in Zarok's Lair May 4, 2019 14:34:14 GMT

I absolutely love this video. Amazingly done. I just had a few questions about the landscape.
First question: From what I understand, after falling down through that shaft-like passage from The Entrance Hall above, Sir Dan is now inside the mountain. He seems to land on a seal or emblem of an eagle's head, the same seal represented in the stained-glass oculus overlooking the combat zone in Zarok’s Lair. Would I be correct in assuming that Sir Dan is currently standing directly over Zarok’s Lair at this point?
Second question: After the Time Device level, Sir Dan takes the train to Zarok’s Lair. But I’m confused now. Zarok’s Lair, first of all, is a completely separate structure, clearly far from the entry point that is depicted in this video. This would seem to suggest that the seal of the eagle's head atop Zarok’s Lair is entirely different from the one that is captured in this video. How can these images represent the same location? Is it possible that there are more than one of these eagle-head motifs decorating Zarok's domain? And what exactly is the significance of the eagle's head anyway? Is it a piece of art, a magical symbol, or maybe Zarok's personal banner/insignia?
Final side-question: To make things even more complicated, when you enter Zarok’s Lair, you are basically inside a gargantuan, dome-shaped arena. Yet, the outside of Zarok’s Lair is not dome-shaped at all. It is square rather than round, and portrays a kind of Burtonesque mansion or steampunk castle. How does the exterior make sense of the interior? I would love if someone could help me understand. Thank you!!!
The first picture below is of Zarok; the second picture is of Palethorn; and the third picture is of Dan (from the video above).
