Must admit, these guys seem to really understand how to approach this remake. There are a few things that still irk me out, but over all it seems like we're fortunate enough to have a team that understands how to do a remake at the helm of this thing. They seem to really be trying to get into the minds and flow of the original team, which is great news
Looks nice. They are even going through the original code line by line, trying to figure out the thoughts and ideas of the original developers... It's really great to see the project is indeed in really good hands.
Yup, this is panning out to be the remake the fanbase was asking for!
Again, this really is how a remake should be approached. Conserve the core game and add in new stuff in keeping with the original design philosophy. A few aesthetic choices are not how I would have liked (I was hoping for the classic HUD style, and Dan still runs with his stomach jutting out), but I think once we actually have the game, those aspects will be neither here nor there.
