If you can find it, I also suggest playing Ghosthunter for the PS2. It's made by mostly the same team from MediEvil 1 and 2, and it was influenced by those games and contains several clever references to them. The gameplay contains several features from MediEvil 2 and improved upon them, and the atmosphere certainly feels similar to the games. As I've said before, it is the closest the PS2 will ever get to a MediEvil 3, especially since the creative director, James Shepherd, chose to create Ghosthunter instead another MediEvil title.
I really wish they ported Medievil: Resurrection to the ps2. I don't think it's great but the better graphics, larger screen and incredible soundtrack coming out of some decent speakers would have been nice. They ported Twisted Metal Head-On and Silent Hill Origins to PS2 and MGS Peace walker to ps3/360 so it would of been nice if Resurrection got the same treatment

I wish MediEvil 3 will be released in the winter after Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal released on November. I just can't wait to see this. This will be continued back to see that Daniel and Kiya use the Time Machine (which is made by Professor Hamilton-Kift) back to Gallowmere in the year 1387, they saw the monster that I think it was Zarok, but at next scene it has Palethorn's head (looks like Palethorn transform into a monster) open his mouth wide like his about to eat them. This is unknown.
^that was only the (rather nonsensical imo) bad ending though. In the good ending he and kiya go back to her tomb and go to sleep/die (again, lol). So there isn't anything to pick up from.
The only way I could see us EVER getting 3 is if all-stars somehow does really good and dan becomes a really popular character. otherwise I doubt we'd ever get one unless sony some day goes out of the console/gaming buisness and sells the rights.

Like I've said, I'm finding it likely that the series will eventually return due to the prototypes that were developed last year and all the popularity Dan has been generating in in Battle Royale. Though if it did, what exactly would we get? Would it just be a PSN download like Defense o the Damned or would it be an actual adventure-puzzle game?
Also, this needs to be said; if we do get another MediEvil, they will almost certainly not continue from the bad ending in MediEvil 2. That game was released over 12 years ago and is not even on the PlayStation Network. Any newcomers to the series would have little to no clue about what would be going on, and IMO, trying to create a plot from a convoluted ending like that seems like it would just turn out ridiculous. Also take into account that Jason Wilson mentioned that the MediEvil 3 the team was working on would have been set in Gallowmere before MedEvil 2, and all four of the 2011 prototypes were also set in Gallowmere and did not appear to follow the time machine plot. If anything, the prototypes appeared to be based on MediEvil Resurrection, which leads to my firm belief that a new game would most likely just continue from the Resurrection universe or perhaps even be another reboot.
