Figured this out after a lot of trial and error, this should allow MediEvil 2 to be played on any PSP and is relatively easy! Step 1: Upgrade your firmware to version 6.39 Step 2: Download this custom firmware dl.qj.net/psp/firmwares/cfw-639-me.html and install it. Step 3: Download the below file, this is my repackaged for PSP ME2, I haven't 100% tested it, but as far as I can tell after a complete playthorugh there are no issues , copy the whole "MediEvil 2 PSP" folder out of the .rar int the "GAME" folder on your PSP. Step 4: Unplug the USB, on your PSP go to the "Game" section, go into memory stick and click the flashing MediEvil 2 icon, hoorah! MediEvil 2 on the PSP!! Download www.sendspace.com/file/y8y7ho

Was there a problem doing this before as I've had MediEvil 2 on my psp for a month and just recently finished it?

It appears I am just too 'up to date' for once in my life, typical.

Well, there's gameplay on YouTube.. there's also a thread in this section where a member wanted to post his own gameplay from PSP.

Was possible before, but it's only recently we have been able to update to CFW from OFW older than V5 I think. But converting the eboot and uploading will surely make it easier?

Yeah, you just made it sound like a completely new thing, hence arytheon's confusion.

I've used CFW for ages, and also MediEvil I and II, but I just noticed that on MediEvil II, the music goes earlier or later depending on the track length. (e.g. the museum music ends after about 20 seconds, whereas the ambient sounds in the hub end after about 5-10 seconds)
I've tried various POPS versions, including the most compatible, but to no avail. Has anyone else had this?
(I've also tried PAL and NTSC version of MediEvil II)

I have 6.60 lme-1.8 and I use the nand pops (default from this version) but this works on any pops or firmware that I tested, its not a firmware or POPS issues, but its the way you convert it, because it uses multi track audio, so the regular POPS converters that you find on the internet wont work, you need a patched one, I use PSX2PSP GUI 0.7.1 since the 1.4.2 version wont work with the patch I'm talking about! also you need a CloneCD dump (.cdd) file because it does a FULL dump of the game! but dont worrie I'm uploading the Eboot and the converter with the patch for you guys!

If I knew it had multi-track audio, I would've been able to solve it myself, but since you offered to upload it, no problem-o Thing is, I did download a pre-made eboot, but it wasn't obviously done well either.

Hello to you too Rokfor Hi there I just managed to have sound in MediEvil 2 on PSP. Problem was in a bad dump I had. Now with proper dump and patch for PSX2PSP sound works fine. Also, remember to use USA version as PAL version hangs when loading Kensington. Here is a program to download: dl.qj.net/psp/tools-utilities-on-pc/psx2psp-gui-for-popstation-v071.htmlAnd here I am uploading for everyine new link with a file to enable CDDA (copy popstation.exe to "files" folder): www.sendspace.com/file/6o0my3When there is still no sound when using it, then you must look for a new dump of this game. And that, as they say, is that.

You think this is all the reason why Medievil 2 has never been on PSN? I mean, if it's not just because Sony are being dicks about it.

You think this is all the reason why Medievil 2 has never been on PSN? I mean, if it's not just because Sony are being dicks about it. I think it's because: A) The game is massive with the patch, even with Sony's super-compression. B) The game is laggy on PSP at some points, and the game has graphical/framerate issues on PS3. Hopefully we'll see this change when PS1 games on Vita are out

I'd have to see a LOT of stuff on Vita first, and the price to come down. I still feel like I payed a lot for the PSP only 6 or so years ago. In gaming terms that's a long time to most people, but I've never been one to upgrade everything I own as soon as a new model is released. Although, I still play PS1 games, so what do I know ha

I loved the PSP to bits, and I still do, but what made it great was the amount of homebrew that could be ran on it. Any PS1 game I want, all GBC/GBA games, ScummVM, etc etc.
And the best part is that we can run homebrew on the Vita as well! Just wait until we have a kernel exploit for the Vita's PSP emulator, and we'll get everything we had on PSP instantly.

B) The game is laggy on PSP at some points, and the game has graphical/framerate issues on PS3. I havent seen any framerate issues. The only problem with framerate was at the beginning of Cathedral Spires. I havent played original on PSX (only on PSP) so I cannot be sure. But I am experienced PSX player so my eye would have caught if anything would be wrong with it I think Anyway, I used 6.60 firmware, clock speed set to deafult. You think this is all the reason why Medievil 2 has never been on PSN? I mean, if it's not just because Sony are being dicks about it. My idea is that they have dicks instead of heads and with such attributes you can never be sure what's inside their "minds"
