The first Medievil is my favourite because i like the Story of Gallowmere with the Heroes, the Creatures, the History of Sir Dan and the other stuff. The second one is good too, but i miss the Dark Gothic Atmosphere from the first one and some bad ideas, especially the little Ghost Helper and Dan´s Voice are just crap.
All bow down before the master of the vegetable patch, the prize-winning plant who can summon an army of cabbage with a wave of his noble tendril.
He's delicious. He's nutritious. He's Zarok's secret recipe - he's the Pumpkin King!
Medievil 2 for me has become more plot-oriented game. More dialogues, more "plot important" levels. Also the arsenal seems to have become varied. And, for my taste, the game has become more difficult. But I will give my voice to the first game. There is a map (this is my personal fetish: maps in video games), the atmosphere of the Gothic Middle Ages, many fabulous creatures, a hall of heroes. I like the way everyone in the original medievil taunts Dan for not being such a hero. And Dan himself is always pessimistic. In the second game he is already a hero, and this is understandable, because he defeated Zarok, but this kills the atmosphere from the original. The remake is too sweet and bright, and there are no half levels from the original. I can not say that this is a bad game, it is still fun to play, but I would choose another game.
