Gibbon's is the Art Director from Primal and, according to Chris Sorrell, also worked on the MediEvil 3 concept. He was given a special thanks in the credits in MediEvil: Resurrection. Also, he has a few pieces of concept art for Primal 2 posted on his site.

Primal is an excellent game and I highly recommend it. Too bad my PS2 died a few years ago and I never finished the game. Unfortunately, it doesn't work very well on emulators and I'll have to wait until it's fixed to play it again...
If you have a PS3 than you can download it off the Network as a PS2 classic. Personally, I thought Primal had a cool story and atmosphere, interesting characters, and a great orchestral soundtrack from Bob and Barn along with some badass themes from 16Volt. The gameplay, though, was what brought the game down for me, as it put too much emphasis on constant backtracking and the combat was extremely repetitive and felt more like a tedious chore to me. I honestly can not say that I actually had much fun playing Primal (although I did think some of the exploration and puzzles were done well). Also, and I'm not sure if it's exclusive to the PSN version, but there's a really annoying glitch during the fire puzzles in the Volca realm that will cause the game to lag badly if the camera is facing any of the fires.
I don't have a PS3 so I can only wait until it works well on an emulator to play the game again.
I agree the combat was repetitive and too simplistic, but it didn't really bothered me. What I enjoyed the most in the game was how they built the different worlds, all the small details that made them truly unique and believable (each race had it's unique language for instance), the atmosphere, the architecture, etc. I really enjoyed to explore the different realms, discover the inhabitants, their customs, etc...
Aye, the art and design of the characters and different realms was definitely one of Primal's strongest aspects. My favorite realm had to be Aetha; I loved the dark, Gothic atmosphere and grotesque character designs, and I actually enjoyed exploring the realm's village and manor. Plus, I thought the Laura Croft tombstone was a great addition.
When you actually look at this you see what company's like Sony Cambridge have to do to plan out how the game will look first. You can really see the hard work they put into it, I couldn't be able to that kind of art it's just to good they must of spent ages on it but there Sony Cambridge and their brilliant.
