Hello there! I'm new here and I just wanted to make a little announcement: Some time ago i started working on MediEvil remake as a mod for TESV:Skyrim. Since i'm new to modding i decided to create only first four levels to see if i am capable of doing it. You can see first screens from my mod over here: MediEvil in Skyrim I would love to hear your opinions on my project and i hope you like it!
flynn60 Just weapon packs? Probably no. I'm more into making new adventures/locations. But... if you are looking for MediEvil themed weapons, then i just want to say that those are going to be included in my ME remake mod (sword, shield, crossbow and club for sure + maybe The Arm if i will be able to script it to disappear from the shoulder on equip)

Looks cool! Certainly sounds like a big undertaking, but I hope you'll finish it!
Just some guy who likes Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64, but I've known and played the Medievil games since I was a little kid. Also love tearing apart games to see what stuff was left on the cutting floor.
Oh okay. I do wish you luck. I just think it'd be cool to see a broadsword weapons pack released stand alone or something like that. It would get more people to notice your project and would be awesome in general. If you don't want to do something like that, I understand. Like I said, I think it would be cool.
Well, you have a point. When I finish making the weapons for my mod, then making a standalone release of just weapons is not a problem at all. I just don't see a reason why would someone download only weapons if they can download weapons+quest+new areas. Unless you mean to release standalone weapon pack while I'm still making my mod and then just repalace it with my mod when I'm finished. Yea.. I think I will do that.
Well, I'm doing only first four levels so it is doable, just need some time The main thing i'm worried about is Dan's 3d model. I'm not sure if i can do it by myself so i will search for someone to do it. But i will worry with that later...
I have seen this model before and it looks great, but unfortunately I'm looking for something more realistic and less cartoonish. But ofc if i won't find what i want i will contact Sourceshift and ask if i could use his model
Why am i looking for something more realistic? I want an unified experience. I can't make Dan look super deformed while enemies, NPCs and environment look "realistic". And deforming environment would take too damn loooong.
I think he should still be slightly comical in appearance though. That's just me though. Maybe keep the oddly shaped head. I think it'd be pretty cool if someone made Lord Kardok's horse ridable... That would rule. It would probably be a lot of work though and I have absolutely no skills with modelling.
@Source Shift wow, that was unexpected! Can't wait to see modified model About the interface: most Skyrim players (like me) use this mod for interface. I really like it and didn't think making one on my own was necessary. But now that You mention it... It would be great to have MediEvil themed interface! Send me PM if( or when) You have a basic idea how You would like it to look like, so we can discuss whether or not we go into that direction.
The UI needs to be like the MediEvil games; the inventory appears south-screen and has icons/renders of the items in the inventory. The health wouldn't need much changing, just change the colour from red to green and add a picture of Dan on the left ^.^
When i totally agree with this : "The health wouldn't need much changing, just change the colour from red to green and add a picture of Dan on the left", i don't really think THIS is necessary: "the inventory appears south-screen and has icons/renders of the items in the inventory" Why? Because ordinary player will just bind items to 1-8 keys and will never look at the menus again. Yea, it would be more like PSX MediEvil, but it simply won't make the mod better. Not to mention it would probably take a loooot of work as for something that only really hardcore MediEvil fans would appreciate. But since SourceShift offered to work on the UI, then i leave it to him. If he will be able to make it work and look good, then who am i to say it cant be implemented?
The UI would be a really nice touch for MediEvil fans. When it comes to others, it wouldn't make much sense, but then again, aren't MediEvil fans the target audience? Though you could possibly just include it as a seperate download.
When I made my mockup for a MediEvil 3 cover (which I used Skyrim for the screenshots on the back for.) I simply got a skeleton from the game, knocked off his jaw then found some fitting armour and recoloured some parts. It's not perfect but it is quite easy and highly compatible with the game so you might be interested in doing something similar. I am afraid I forget how I did most of it though.
