Message to those who don't know because it's been about a year since this idea appeared on internet. So I discovered that a youtubeur made a project called "MediEvil - Missing Memories" which consists of recreating 2 of the abandoned levels of MediEvil, which are:
- Morten's quest inside the asylum
And 2 other levels which (I personally think) have nothing to do with the initial ideas of the group of Chris Sorrell and Jason Wilson.
Hey, this project is by rawtalent! There is evidence that The Entrance Hall was going to be a Morten level as Morten textures can be found in the VLO for that level (in the final game as well as in the Rolling Demo). The Museum level is just for fun though.
Regarding the famous project "MediEvil - Missing Memories", which comes from the excellent "rawtalent", I think that many people are waiting for it impatiently. But I would like to give some ideas if possible. And these ideas come from the MediEvil ECTS version of 1997. Since in this version, we can see all the levels cut from the final version, here are the ideas:
The Coffin Vaults: Level that would be used to visit the purple corridor by adding some zombies.
The Fields of Dust: Mini game that lets you jump from one rock to another to escape the Sand Monsters. But I don't know if there are models of Sand Monsters in the prototype files, otherwise we abandon this idea.
The Muddy Riverbank: Level that would be used to climb the top of a cliff while facing enemies that come from the mud.
The Mud Slide: Mini game that would be used to surf the long way downhill, on Daniel's shield. And as it is specified on the site of "Hidden Palace" concerning the MediEvil ECTS of 1997, "In the files there can be found a fully animated model of Dan sliding down the cut Mudslide level"
Circle of Shadows: Mini game that would be used to hide behind one of the Menhirs each time the Jabberwocky appears.
The Silver Wood: Mini game that (as you might expect) would be used to escape and get ahead of the Jabberwocky throughout the Silver Woods.
The Halls of Illusion: Maze level with purple bricks, which are composed of several mirrors that must be avoided at the risk of fighting doppelgangers.
The Hub: Since this level connects to several other levels, the idea would be to face multiple enemies guarding the entrances.
The Great Machine: As the level isn't finished outside or inside the machine, I can't offer anything.
Again, I want to emphasize that these are only ideas, and should not be endorsed if that is impossible.
