Hi there 3 days ago, two people, Hwd45 and Anonymous with the help of the incredible SolidSnake11, managed to get their hands on a version close to the MediEvil promotional trailer, version which dates from 1997 and which is, as you can tell know, a huge treasure chest of new discoveries. Here is the link of the video: And the link to download the prototype is in the description, in the site called "Hidden Palace". What you need to know is that this version is quite close to "MediEvil Rolling Demo" since they both date from 1997. But it also brings long-awaited answers concerning the levels that have been abandoned in the final version. All the details are indicated in the site "Hidden Palace". hiddenpalace.org/MediEvil_(Sep_7,_1997_prototype%29 New: - The interface is almost similar to that of the promotional trailer. With one exception, the size of the numbers (the score, or Daniel's life) is smaller than that of the trailer. - The appearance of the fountains of energies - The blue bones that extend Daniel's life bar - The green bones that give an extra life to Daniel So I let you discover this version, and marvel with joy. Good game and good rediscovery to all

Hello Kaori,
While you study this 1997 version, and when you show all the new features to the members, do not forget to mention one of the cutscenes, in the options, which is titled: intermission 7, because it emphasizes the chase Jabberwocky (especially on the last 2 sequences which are a real surprise).
Good evening to you

Good evening to you Kaori
I have a small question regarding the video below concerning "MediEvil Rolling Demo":
Good evening to you Kaori
I have a small question regarding the video below concerning "MediEvil Rolling Demo":
Around 3:45 minutes and 5:07 minutes of this video, we notice that Daniel is resurrected by green flashes when he dies. And yet me when I play Rolling Demo, these flashes do not appear.
How do I make them appear?
Thank you and good evening.

Ehm... I'm afraid I cannot exactly answer to that. I'm absolutely not tech-savvy. I'm probably one of the very fews on this forum (and discord server) that has no idea of what to do in this field.
Sorry for the bother.

No problem, I'm negotiating with the youtuber, to find out how to solve this new problem.

In fact, I think the problem is my lack of attention. I hadn't seen that on the "hidden palace" site, there were updates of each prototype that were made by our colleague "Dan's friend". And I believe my version of Rolling demo is older.
So it's up to me to apologize for disturbing you.
Mea culpa

Hey Morten, the lightning effect may not be appearing due to the emulator you're using. I'd recommend that you use DuckStation or Mednafen.

Hello Dan's Friend,
How are you ?
Indeed, since I use "ePSXe" or "Duckstation" the lightning effect is visible on the screen. So there is one very important thing to know is that the PSX 1.13 emulator has its limitations, so it should be avoided for all MediEvil prototypes.
